Since 2006, Dr. Narkeesh Arumugam is serving as a professor and Head in the Department of Physiotherapy, Punjabi University, Patiala Punjab. The department of Physiotherapy is one of the most reputed institutes in terms of providing quality education to the students and has been listed among the top 10 institutes in North India.  He has also been the Dean Faculty of Medicine, Syndicate, Senate, Finance committee and HOD in the University & Ministry nominee in IPH & NIOH (National Institute).

He has been the HOD in SBS University, Dehradun. His career has been built around basic and innovatory concepts in field of Neurology and Neuro- Rehabilitation and his educational credits as follow PhD, MPT (Neuro), DO (Spain), DOMTP (OCO Canada), PG Mas. Diploma Osteopathy (UK), Diploma in master Chiroprator (Sweden) Prof. Dr.Narkeesh Arumugam, one of the leading Physiotherapists in India and is  a superb blend of an Academician , Clinician, Osteopath and a Researcher with a substantial and extensive experience of 23 years he is providing his services with the utmost dedication in the region of Punjab.

• He is an excellent Academician. He has supervised more than 120 MPT dissertations and presently supervising 8 Ph.D Candidates. He has been the resource person of numerous workshops both in India and abroad and has taught over 12000 students. His forte is Spine, Adult Neurology & Osteopathy. He has more than 112 scientific publications in various National and International research Journals like BMJ and etc.

He is One of the highest (More than 2 Cr) funded physiotherapist in India for research in field of Physiotherapy* SERB Research fund for research in stroke rehabilitation, CADILLA and ISIC gold research fund for SCI locomotion rehabilitation are one of the prestigious research funds bagged by him and research associate with TAPER University, IIT roop nagar, Medicaid, Walnut and Diers.

• He is one of the leading pioneers in the field of Physiotherapy. He has successfully treated more than 10,000 patients till date. He is constantly providing his services to the society as consultant physiotherapist.
